Veneers in Greensboro, NC

Veneers are custom-made sheets of tooth colored material that are bonded to existing teeth. Veneers do not replace the teeth, but rather enhance the appearance of the teeth.

Typically, porcelain veneers can last from seven to up to 20 years. Veneers can be made from porcelain or resin composite. By talking to one of our dentists, we can help determine the best material for your veneers.

Types of Veneers

  • Composite Veneers: This is one of the more common veneers treatments that involve the dentist sculpting and applying the veneers directly to the teeth. This type of veneer is generally used to correct cracked and/or chipped teeth or teeth that have slight gaps in them.
  • Porcelain Veneers: This veneers option is one of the more expensive but effective options. Porcelain veneers are definitely worth the investment because they will transform your smile from ordinary to extraordinary! These custom made veneers take several appointments to achieve the right veneers for your teeth. These are stain resistant and are perfect for those suffering from severe tooth discoloration and cracked and/or chipped teeth.

  • Instant Veneers: These are pre-made veneers that can be applied in one visit at the dental office. This type of veneer is not custom made and comes in a variety of shades and styles.
  • Removable Veneers: These are a newer type of veneers on the market that are also known as snap on veneers. Hard wearing dental resin is used to make these veneers. A thin strong cover is then applied over the existing teeth to create the veneer.
Are You A Candidate For Veneers?
When considering whether or not you should receive the veneers, there are cosmetic, structural and health issues to keep in mind.

If you are suffering from gum disease, a root canal infection, tooth decay and other related tooth and gum conditions veneers are not recommended. Once these issues are treated, you may be a candidate for veneers.

If you are not suffering from any periodontal and oral conditions, want to fix chipped teeth, cracked teeth, tooth gaps, minor misaligned teeth or discoloration you may qualify for veneers.
