Crowns are necessary when a tooth has an extremely expansive cavity or on a tooth that is mostly filling. They are also used if teeth are cracked or have fracture lines in them. Crowns are used when fillings are no longer an option to seal the tooth.
Crowns are typically done in two office visits. During the first visit, we make an impression and place the tooth in a temporary crown. This process takes about 90 minutes. During your second visit, we deliver the crown.
For same day crowns, choose CEREC crowns. We use a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to create an optical impression, replacing the physical impression required in traditional procedures. In 10-15 minutes, your all-ceramic, color-matched restoration is ready for placement.
Bridges are used to discreetly fill gaps and provide strong support. They serve as a more permanent, less obvious alternative to dentures, and they are lightweight too.
